Vince Zampella, the mind behind the globally famous franchise Call of Duty, has died in a traffic collision in Los Angeles, California he was 55 years old.

The tragic news was announced by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the development studio he co-founded.

The influential video game developer passed away following his vehicle was involved in a crash and burst into flames on a highway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday morning, as reported by.
