The comedian

Prolific children's author and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.

An official for the firm said: "Following a thorough review, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish future works by David Walliams."

Media sources suggest that the move was made after an inquiry regarding claims about conduct deemed unsuitable towards female individuals.

The company declined to specify the reasons for its decision, stating: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."

A Prolific Writing Journey

Walliams stands as a most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.

A number of his titles, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.

To date, he has released in excess of 40 works combined, including a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.

His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE back in 2017 for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
